the vibe magazine march 2009 cover for their style issue reminded me of one my favorite albums from my childhoood, mr. big stuff by jean knight. my teenage aunts had this record and i was a little midget who demanded that they play "mr big stuff" over and over and over. between that and making them turn to "sesame street" so i could see big bird in the afternoon when their "stories" were on, it's a wonder they still loved me as much as they did. my aunt t. reminded me of those days over the holidays, the many episodes of GH missed because of me. anyway, back to the subject at hand. one lp. one magazine cover. 38 years of design between them.
